okae. i've been incredibly unmotivated to blog. especially since i'm re-addicted to the civilization game. kai yuen, this is all your fault! btw, KY was my tutor in sec4 and he introduced me to this game just two months before O levels -if i'm not wrong. hahaha. and WJ doesnt like him very much coz we're too buddy-ish than tutor & 'tutee'. hahaha. anywhos i digress..
FRIDAY
my dad's bday. so we went out for dinner. at .. er... crystal jade. at taka. -.- which is kinda weird coz my mom hates crowds yet she chose a super crowded place in town on a friday night. -.-
SATURDAY
we went to stay at the Fairmont Hotel. (one of the two hotels connected to raffles city mall). woots. me, liz and kevin shared one bedroom and my parents in the other. we got the super duper nice view. =) it was pretty cool coz we slacked nearly the whole day and i took like two bubble baths. hahhaa. i am so in love with bubble baths. =D
oh yeah. the stupid hotel had to go through maintenance on the night we were staying. so can you imagine at 1am, they switch off all power. no aircon, no lights. nothing. i sweated like a pig until nearly 4am then the power came back on. le sigh.
SUNDAY
used the borders' special discount to buy books. i bought four, i think. and i read two within six hours of buying them. i think my dad's gonna kill me for it. hahahha.
i'm addicted to biographies. not the whole success-yay i'm the president/prime minister/footballer biographies. more like real struggles -poverty, abuse, murder. and how these people, after years of suffering under or from it, manage to pick themselves up and learn to move on. its inspiring. go read one. i think sarah's story by sarah preston is good one to start with.
MONDAY
went to paternal grandparents place for deepavali lunch. technically i dont celebrate it. but i collect the deepavali version of 'ang baos'. woots. then went home and watched the 9pm chinese show & 11pm chinese show.
TUESDAY&WEDNESDAY
slacked at home. play more civilization. hahaha. i totally love being an empress. xDD big word of the day - Schadenfreude. it means taking pleasure out of people's pain. haha. i have to admit it is true as much as i want to deny it.
i missed two days of the 11pm chinese show already. dammit. and i want to watch Paris Hilton's My New BFF show. dammit again.
